Personal Injury Paralegal
Duties:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of personal injury litigation, from case inception to resolution
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
- Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information
- Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and witness lists
- Review medical records and other relevant documents for case evaluation
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing calendars
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in personal injury law
- Proficiency in legal case management software and document management systems
- Strong research skills using resources such as Lexis-Nexis or Westlaw
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to personal injury cases
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and professional communication
