Busy Middlesex County law firm is looking for a skilled full-time personal injury paralegal to be the part of our growing team. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance during all phases of the personal injury process including conducting intakes, scheduling, gathering records and documents, communicating with clients, drafting and correspondences and pleadings, e-filing, preparing treatment and billing summaries, and preparing settlement documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments
• Draft and efile pleadings with the court
• Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc)
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
• Organize medical record and bills, exhibits, other documents
• Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
• Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
• Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties
• Provide assistance with trial preparations and settlement

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a personal injury paralegal
• Applicable knowledge of medical records and billing, property damage and personal injury claims, motions, discovery, court rules and procedures, PIP litigation
• Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines and manage priorities and workflow in a fast-paced environment
• Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of Leap a plus.
• Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
