Pain management office seeks to hire a Certified Medical Assistant to work Full Time at our Frisco and Plano location. We provide high energy, excellent work environment, on the job perks and competitive salary!

• The schedule is: Monday - Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm (Hours can vary depending on clinic schedule)

Job expectations:

• Under the direction of the health care provider, the Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well being of all patients.
• assist physician and nursing staff with documenting patient encounters in EHR
• Obtaining vitals and medical history from patients
• Communicating various patient issues to the nurse, nurse pracitioner or physician.
• Communicating with patients regarding medical questions and medication refills
• Sending various imaging orders and referrals
• May be required to collect urine samples, blood sugars and pregnancy tests
• Assist with medical records
• Perform other duties as requested by office manager

Competencies

• Ability to perform EKGs, draw blood and administer injections
• Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients
• Demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations
• Maintains a positive, caring attitude towards patients
• Good computer skills using a medical management application & prior experience with EMR’s is highly preferred
• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
• Demonstrates initiative, insight, and judgement in decision-making process
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation & procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
