Confidential is Hiring a Fire Alarm Technician Near Philadelphia, PA

This is a traveling position. 2-3 weeks of travel at a time. Company vehicle and per diem are provided.

We are currently seeking Fire Alarm Technicians for project assignments spanning various locations in the United States.

We are in search of proactive and dependable fire alarm technicians who can tackle tasks independently and deliver solutions effectively. Requirements:

  • NICET certification (Preferred)
  • Availability for travel
  • Valid state-required Physical Security or Life Safety licenses
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and site maps
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72
  • Experience in burglar alarms, access control, and CCTV is advantageous
  • Strong customer relationship and communication skills
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting switches, WiFi, and routers
  • Certification to operate BOOM or scissor lifts, with the ability to work at heights
  • Possession of basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license

Responsibilities:

  • Installation, repair, or upgrade of fire alarm systems as per building plans and electrical layouts
  • Mounting sensors at designated locations and conducting necessary tasks such as drilling holes for cabling
  • Ensuring compliance with current codes and regulations
  • Running low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including concrete wall drilling and conduit work
  • Completing all wiring, connections, and equipment installations to meet electrical and fire codes
  • Testing to ensure operational status of newly installed fire alarm systems and components
  • Troubleshooting new system installations to ensure functionality and compliance with codes and requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
