Leading Freight Forwarder / NVOCC/ Customs House Broker/ Tank Container Operator, with locations in 24 countries and over 3100 employees strong, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Ocean Export Customer Service Representative in our Jersey City, NJ office.

Export Coordinator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate shipments with Shippers and Receivers
• Communicate with customers, staff and vendors
• Correspond with overseas agents and clients
• Book cargo
• Handle AES Transmissions
• Issue documents such as B/L, Dock Receipt, Booking Order, C.O., etc.
• Learn to operate in all Leschaco systems
• Handle the preparation of documents based on Letter of Credit requirements
• Prepare other documents as required by customer
• Send Pre-Alerts via email and original docs via international courier when required
• Invoice files
• Learn and apply U.S. Government regulations
• Work with steamship line/trucking companies to obtain quotations and handle the movement of freight
• Prepare quotations
• Handle files from A to Z

Export Coordinator Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience in ocean exports with a freight forwarder
• Knowledge of Export Regulations
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to meet strict deadlines daily
• Be able to work independently, multi-task, be a team player and work in a fast paced environment
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Experience with the handling of hazardous materials a plus
