Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing operations within the organization - Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care - Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication - Review and analyze documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards - Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy to effectively communicate with healthcare providers - Develop and implement care plans for patients based on their individual needs - Manage shifts and schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and optimal patient care - Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in nursing, including hospice care, Medicare regulations, and nursing home protocols Skills: - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families - Proficiency in medical terminology to facilitate clear communication with doctors and other healthcare providers - Knowledge of anatomy to understand medical conditions and treatments - Ability to review documentation for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards - Experience in shift management to ensure proper staffing levels and coverage - Familiarity with hospice care principles and practices - Understanding of Medicare regulations related to nursing care As the Director of Nursing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
