Data Engineering Manager Responsibilities

1. Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.

2. Be both a highly technical, hands-on coder and an effective people manager.

3. Be a subject matter expert in at least one specific domain (examples: product, product infrastructure, infrastructure, machine learning).

3. 1. Development in SQL and at least one of the following object-oriented languages: Python, Perl, or Java

6. 1. Management experience with technical teams, or experience as a technical lead or project manager
7. 1. Building data products including front end visualization technologies interfacing with backend systems
8. 1. Leading data driven discussions & designing scalable data platforms for analytics
9. 1. Analyzing data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies
10. 1. Designing and developing distributed systems, storage systems, or cache and data distribution infrastructure
11. 1. Applied statistics, including experimentation and regression modeling
12. 1. Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems in large-scale systems
13. 1. Coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams
14. 1. Developing and managing requirements, and making data-driven decisions
15. 1. Leading strategic implementation and planning for risk and growth.
