About the Role

The Company is seeking a Director of Data to spearhead its data infrastructure and strategy. This pivotal role involves leading a small but impactful team responsible for the collection, storage, management, and security of data. The successful candidate will be tasked with turning data into critical insights that drive strategic decisions and product enhancements. Key responsibilities include developing and executing the company's data strategy, building and mentoring a high-performing data team, engineering robust data infrastructure and pipelines, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. The Director of Data will also be expected to champion the adoption of advanced analytics and machine learning models to fuel innovation.Candidates for the Director of Data position at the company must possess exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record in building and mentoring data teams. A deep understanding of data architecture, modeling, and database technologies is essential, as is experience in managing data warehouses, lakes, and analytics platforms. Strong knowledge of data governance, quality management, and data protection laws, such as GDPR and CCPA, is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with data analytics and visualization tools, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks. An advanced degree in data science, computer science, IT, or a related field is preferred. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are also a must, as the role involves effectively conveying data-driven insights to stakeholders at all levels.
