Job Summary
Review blueprints and work orders to understand the desired shape and size of a finished product. Visually inspect and compare raw materials and manufactured components to a template of what the pieces should look like when finished.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Grind, file, or sand surfaces of CNC parts, using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and/or machines.
- Examine surfaces for burrs and defects using a microscope.
- Remove burrs per drawing specifications.
- Clean and package parts.
- Help develop new procedures and techniques with team.
- Use bead blast equipment as needed.
- Be able to identify non-conforming product.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Basic blueprint reading.
- Ability to look through a microscope for a long period of time.
- Detail oriented with strong quality standards.
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent eye-hand coordination.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Can be flexible as needed from switching to one job to another.
- Knowledgeable of machine processes a plus.
- Bi-lingual is a plus.
- 1 year of experience in machining and/or debur.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Work Environment:
The employee may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures, heights, and loud machinery or equipment. The employee may be exposed to hazardous chemicals.
