About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Credit Officer/Executive Director of Credit & Valuation to lead the Credit & Special Underwriting team and the Acquisition & Land Valuation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing these units, including overseeing hiring, staffing, and professional development. This role involves providing direction for special underwriting analyses, serving as the HPD Credit Committee Chair, and representing the company externally in funding consortiums and inter-agency Credit Committees. The Chief Credit Officer will also advance underwriting discussions and assist in the review and modification of underwriting policies and program term sheets.Candidates for this position should have a baccalaureate degree and at least four years of experience in community organization, social work, urban development projects, real estate, public administration, or a related field, with at least two years directly related to neighborhood improvement. A Law Degree or graduate work in a relevant field can be substituted for up to two years of experience. Preferred skills include professional experience in real estate finance, underwriting, lending, and a strong understanding of affordable housing finance programs. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in a related field and possess strong management skills, experience in staff development, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
