Job Title: Assistant Plant Manager

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and well experienced Assistant Plant Manager to join our food processing facility located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in meat processing and a strong understanding of food safety standards including SSOP, GMP, and HACCP. The Junior Plant Manager will work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure efficient operations and adherence to quality and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Plant Manager: Collaborate with the Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, inventory management, and maintenance.

Production Oversight: Supervise daily production activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Quality Control: Implement and maintain SSOP, GMP, and HACCP standards to ensure the highest level of food safety and product quality.

Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to production staff on proper procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supplies are available for production needs.

Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives to enhance overall plant performance.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, quality inspections, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in meat processing, with a solid understanding of production operations.

Knowledge of SSOP, GMP, and HACCP standards and their application in food processing facilities.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively train, motivate, and supervise production teams.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings as needed.
