Majestic Steel is excited to add to our production lines on first shift! We’re hiring operators who are ready to hit the ground running! That means operating machinery and lift trucks, testing dimensional tolerance and reporting production data. Please note, first shift is Monday-Friday, 6:45 am - 2:45 pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate one production line in accordance with standard operating guidelines and procedures.
• Consistently meet production goals.
• Manage all aspects of product quality including selection of material for appearance, dimensional tolerance, weight and piece count and conduct pre-process, in-process and post process inspections.
• Prepare inspection records and production data reports.
• Comply with work order instructions.
• Utilize ERP system to access information and generate tags.
• Report all equipment functioning issues to immediate supervisor.
• Operate lift truck and/or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently in limited space areas.
• Perform daily lift truck inspections and follow lift truck operation guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Wear appropriate protective equipment as required and in accordance with safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Assist with housekeeping, maintain cleanliness of the machine and work area.
• Other job related duties and special projects as assigned.

Education, Training and Experience Requirements:

• One year production operator experience.
• Experience with MS Office products and windows-based computer applications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

• Ability to accurately use precision measurement equipment such as calipers, tape measure, and micrometers.
• Intermediate level math, mechanical and computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
• Effective communication with coworkers, supervision and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Experience working in a Steel Service Center on a leveling and/or slitting machine.
• Knowledge of leveling theory.

Additional

• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to walk; sit; stand; climb; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl up to 10 hours.
• Must be able to mount, dismount and operate powered industrial equipment.
• Must be able to work in both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.
• Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days, as needed, which includes weekdays and weekends.
