The Benefits Specialist acts as a resource and liaison between departments, such as Claims, Eligibility, and health plans by maintaining benefits in the system.

• Provides daily oversight of benefits.
• Input and update benefits for all health plans.
• 2-3 years experience in Medical Billing/Patient Accounts.
• Coordinate documents and develops projects.
• Develops and implements data integrity initiatives for all support system configuration including fee schedules, benefits, and any other areas that support the effective operation of internal systems.
• Knowledge of health plan websites to obtain benefits information for members.
• Commerical, Medi-cal, Medicare and CMS regulation and guideline, abstracting of inpatient records including assigning ICD-10 and CPT Codes in the system.
• Must have strong computer, critical thinking, and applied judgment skills.
• Must be proficient in basic MS Office programs especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Assists and supports the eligibility department.

Must be able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, great organization skills, detail oriented, highly motivated, and self-starter.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
