- Set up and operate CNC lathes, specifically Tsugami and Swiss Style Machines, to produce precision components.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Interpret and understand mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately set up and program machines.
- Select appropriate cutting tools based on job requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize manual micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments to inspect and verify the accuracy of machined components.
- Identify and address any discrepancies to maintain high-quality standards.
- Program CNC machines using G-code and CAM software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with programming or machine performance.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator, with a focus on lathe operations.
- Specific expertise in operating Tsugami and Swiss Style Machines is highly desirable.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to use manual micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Familiarity with G-code programming and CAM software.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
