CONCONCRETO LLC is Hiring a Structural Engineering Project Manager Near Miami, FL

Job Summary:

The Structural Engineering Project Manager is responsible for leading the structural design and analysis of building projects for an Architecture-Engineering (A-E) consulting firm. They will manage the project team, oversee the technical work, and ensure that the project is completed on-time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the structural design and analysis of building projects, including commercial, residential, educational, and institutional facilities.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans in collaboration with the project team and the client.
  • Manage the project team, including engineers, designers, and support staff, to ensure project deliverables are completed on-time and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and report on status to the client and senior management on a regular basis.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the client, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports, comply with relevant codes and standards, as well as best practices in the industry.
  • Review and approve project deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines within the firm, including architecture, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, to ensure a coordinated and integrated project design.
  • Participate in project meetings with the client, architect, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and collaboration.
  • Manage project risks and issues and develop and implement mitigation plans as necessary.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the project team and the firm.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
  • 5 years of South Florida experience in structural engineering design, including experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Experience performing structural analysis of gravity and lateral system for concrete, steel, masonry and wood structures.
  • Experience with a variety of project types, including commercial, residential, educational, and institutional facilities.
  • Ability to perform special inspections under the direct supervision of threshold inspector. Field experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage a team of engineers and designers, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen and client relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
