POSITION SUMMARY

Analyzes financial data, complies reports and prepares recommendations to management. Plans and conducts studies to improve operational and financial effectiveness of the Company. Instrumental in business unit month-end close processes. Develops financial proformas for projected business improvement and growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares financial analysis as required by senior management to support business decisions.
• Completes financial proformas for new and existing business profiles to determine financial feasibility.
• Plans and conducts studies to determine cost of business activities. Recommends budget adjustments, and other cost improvement measures.
• Creates and maintains financial models that drive business results. Reviews and performs cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.
• Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
• Analyzes assumptions, revenue implications and operational impacts.
• Prepares financial statements, month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounts, and other related monthly duties.
• Assists Management with Month-end close responsibilities.
• Performs statistical, cost and financial analysis of financial reports and data and prepares subsequent narrative analysis for management.
• Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
• Establishes and maintains effective professional relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams and provides analytical support for the tracking of key business drivers.
• May lead and/or assist with special projects as designated with accounting or operations.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Position assists in establishing operating policies, processes, and guidelines for accounting operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Prior experience in food service or retail a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of financial and accounting concepts and systems
• Strong analytical, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to articulate financial concepts to non-financial business partners in a clear and concise manner
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access database
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Must be detail oriented and organized.
• Strong interpersonal, team building and leadership skills; ability to collaborate and work effectively with others

Experience

• 5 - 7 years: A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Prior experience in food service or retail a plus
