Coastal Regional Centre is a residential facility in Summerville, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Job Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, this position provides daily nursing care, training, activities, and treatment to the people who live at the Regional Centers in accordance with all licensing and certification requirements,
1. Administers routine oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications as well as treatments in accordance with nursing protocol, facility policies, and procedures.
2. Monitors health conditions of the individuals and reports findings to medical provider and appropriate staff. Assists physician/practitioner with examinations and treatments as needed. 3. Maintains a safe and sanitary living and working environment.
4. Ensures accountability and protection from harm for all individuals through appropriate and thorough documentation.
5. Reviews Monthly Medication Administration Record (MAR) and 90-day recertification orders, completes healthcare records, AIMS/DISCUS, swallowing and SAOM Evaluations. Assists with weights and heights as ordered and indicated by policy and procedures. Properly documents as needed.
6. Performs and participates in activities as otherwise assigned by the supervisor to include, but not limited to, participation in on-call rotation procedure.
Employment Contingency
Employment is contingent upon our receipt of the following required pre-employment screenings: medical screening to include a drug screening; State and Federal background criminal record checks (to include FBI fingerprinting), SC Dept. of Social Services' Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry screening, and CMS "List of Excluded Individuals/Entities screening; SC Dept. of Motor Vehicles Driving Record check; and a review of transcripts verifying educational credentials.
