Position: Sr. Information Security Systems Engineer

Location: Remote Work

Duration: Fulltime with CompQsoft

Our Customer: United States Coast Guard(USCG)

Security Clearance: DOD active secret clearance required.

Certifications: Must possess IAT-II Level certification.

Functional Responsibility:

• Provides security engineering support for application and database servers in an Azure Cloud environment.
• Formulates and assesses IT security policy
• Troubleshooting security and network problems
• Collaborating with other teams and implementing new ideas
• Prepares security plans for employing enterprise-wide security architecture to include the design of cryptographic solutions.
• Provides security engineering support for application development (including system security certifications and project evaluations).
• Review and update/author system documentation and NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation to reflect present state of systems for Authority to Operate (ATO)
• Working of knowledge of Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP)
• Develops integrated security services management. Executes security awareness training.
• Assesses and audit network penetration testing anti-virus planning assistance, risk analysis and incident response.
• This may include the development, design and implementation of firewalls, and evaluation, review, and test of security code.
• Working with Azure Cloud architecture and platform in an integrated environment.
• Significant knowledge of the Cyber security engineering field and the ability to work independently on typical assignments.
• Shall use DISA tools (STIG Viewer, ACAS Scanner, etc.) to ensure that the system is within the cyber security scoring parameters as prescribed by DISA CCRI and USCG Cyber Command audits.
• Vulnerability Management to include Patching, Testing, and Validation
• Installation of approved security software.
• Perform security testing of data processing systems, update computer virus protection systems, and evaluate security violations.
• Works with current Information Assurance team to support as necessary.

Required Skills:

• The Candidate must possess the minimum Education / Qualifications:

* Minimum 8 years' experience in Security Engineering in Federal Cloud environment

* Experienced in any all the following:

o Cyber Security Engineering in Cloud Environment, Preferably Microsoft Azure.

o Vulnerability management

o Security administration

o System security documentation

o Evaluation of security/IA product capabilities

o Product assessment, and policy development

o FedRAMP

o Experience in information security assurance policies, or standards, or regulations.

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or A.A/A.S. in related field
• AZ-500 Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate Certification or equivalent cloud certification.
• Must possess IAT-II Level certification.
• Must have active secret clearance.
• Candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Candidate must possess strong oral communication and written comprehension capabilities.
