NOW HIRING: Director of Nursing (DON)

Responsibilities of a Director of Nursing (DON):

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the nursing team.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in accordance with state regulations and best practices.
• Foster a culture of compassion, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and assess resident health, coordinating care plans as needed.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and quality care benchmarks.
• Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and best practices.
• Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, including training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address staffing needs to maintain optimal staffing levels.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of care.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Collaborate with other department heads to achieve comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Effectively communicate with healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care.

Qualifications of a Director of Nursing (DON):

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
• Experience in nursing leadership roles in a long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing long-term care.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to providing resident-centered and quality care.
