Objective: This position will administrate, develop, and produce printed and digital designs for Compass on a church, campus, and ministry level. Works with the ministries and staff to brainstorm, create, and implement designs for events, projects, and other communications needs, including web, social media, print, digital, and outside communication purposes. The Graphic Designer works closely with the Communications Director and Creative Team to ensure and oversee immediate and long-term implementations of the Compass Brand.
Essential Job Functions:
Every staff member is expected to fully engage in the church's ministry. This includes attending a weekend service, tithing.
- Helps the Communications Team oversee and implement the Compass brand.
- Ensures all designs that leave the Communications office have clarity of message and keep with the Compass Brand.
- Meets with ministries to brainstorm ideas for their ministry needs.
- Creates graphics to help communicate events, ministries, and the overall look and feel of Compass.
- Creates design packages that include varying materials for each event to be used and a multitude of media outlets.
- Brings excellence to all they do and is constantly striving to create new and fresh ideas and designs.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time. Regular Office hours: Monday-Friday
Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite
- Strongly disciplined in the principles of design (layout, typography, color theory)
- Knowledge and understanding of brand cohesion and execution.
- Highly adaptable and possess great time management skills.
- A highly collaborative approach to work and creation
- Team player capable of fostering relational influence.
- Understands the importance of design practicality as well as aesthetics.
Education Requirement:
- High School Diploma
- Two year’s experience in Graphic Design
- Some college or proof of Graphic Design technical training.
