Home Care Administrator SUMMARY: The Administrator is responsible for the overall operation of the agency’s programs and for all aspects of compliance, leadership, marketing and profitability. Contributes to the growth and development of Companion Healthcare by being a strong advocate for home health, hospice and private duty programs and services within the medical community. Keeps the agency abreast of local, state and national trends.
Home Care Administrator RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
a. Serves as a liaison among the governing body, the professional advisory group, and the business staff. Responsible for overall operation of all programs.
b. Organizes and directs all of the agency’s ongoing functions and chairs the budget committee.
c. Employs qualified personnel and provides for adequate staff education, interviews, hires, supervises, evaluates and terminates administrative staff.
d. Implements budget and accounting systems and fiscal controls.
e. Oversees record and reporting systems providing for proper service control and measurement of program outcome.
f. Ensures evaluation of all agency programs.
g. Ensures an active, accurate public information system within each community in which the agency operates.
h. Takes an active part in local, state and national health committees and functions.
i. Interprets policies and procedures for the board of directors, including the implications of proposed policies. Ensures the implementation of all policies and procedures.
j. Promotes good community relations through involvement in community affairs and
k. serving on related boards and committees.
l. Promotes client relations by receiving complaints and compliments. Makes home visits
m. as indicated.
n. Investigates and resolves all complaints.
o. Plans with other agencies and develops methods of interagency work.
p. Advises managers on personnel matters.
q. Communicates with the fiscal intermediary and other third-party payers as necessary to
r. maintain good relations.
s. Monitors the fiscal condition of the agency and ensures adequate resources.
t. Makes final decisions in capital equipment and major office purchases.
u. Monitors, with assistance from the chief financial officer, billing and payroll functions.

Home Care Administrator POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have License as Home Health Administrator in state of Oklahoma
2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Business or related field or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
3. At least 1 year experience as Administrator or Assistant Administrator Home Care.
4. At least 3 years experience in health care management.
5. Reliable transportation and agency-required auto liability insurance.
6. Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
7. Demonstrated skills for communicating with all populations served.
Home Care Administrator PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described are those needed for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to sit at a desk or in meetings for long periods of time, to stand walk, stoop and kneel intermittently; to review charts or other reading materials, to be able to document patient care, and hear, see, speak to participate in meetings and conferences. May have to lift 10-15 lbs. May be required to drive to appointments, meetings or other Agency sponsored events.
