Jefferson Health is our Academic Clinical Research Center partner for our vertically integrated operations in Pennsylvania.

Our principals have significant experience investing in healthcare, consumer products, and regulated markets and have been actively focused on the cannabis industry since 2015. Our leadership at Ethos Cannabis has experience developing and leading successful cannabis operators in the U.S.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide financial decision support for business decisions, develop a deep understanding of the operations and customer behaviors to implement associated financial models and data analytics to measure operational performance.
  • Champion, prioritize, monitor, and report the progress of strategic and operational initiatives including new product offerings, costing/pricing models, potential acquisitions, new market opportunities, and other special projects or business initiatives.
  • Become entrenched in the business and quickly develop an understanding of the employee base, internal stakeholders, processes, products, pricing, business objectives, and systems (including Cannabis-specific regulations and best practices).
  • Understand and evaluate the impact of various investments, restructurings, and potential mergers/acquisitions have on the business in terms of cost, tax issues, and performance synergies.
  • Conduct analysis and provide insights and recommendations for both short-term and long-term growth plans. Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company's plan for growth and expansion.
  • Assess financial performance and develop long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts. Participate in strategic planning sessions, advise senior leadership, and develop creative solutions to broad business challenges.
  • Assist preparing monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss, budget vs. actual, and cash flow and sales reports. Highlight monthly variances
  • Prepare all financial analyst used in quarterly & yearly earnings process; work closely with VP of Finance during this time
  • Manage and prepare the fiscal annual budget
  • Preparation of financial comparisons and explanations of actual and budget variances
  • Assist Senior Management in driving financial accountability throughout the organization
  • Recognized and analyzed financial information for underlying business issues and provide input for operational decisions
  • Identify critical factors affecting the profitability and evaluate the potential of the proposed venture to achieve profit results consistent with the Company goals.
  • Create and assemble financial "what if" scenarios for management decision making activities.
  • Reports to the VP of Finance

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting, Master's degree preferred
  • CPA preferred

Work Experience

ยท 8-10 years of strategic finance, corporate finance, consulting, or investment banking experience


Capabilities and Skills

  • Effective project management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, manage long-term projects, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner with externally driven deadlines that may shift during a project
  • Experience building PowerPoint presentations and high proficiency in Excel
  • Proven quantitative and qualitative skills and a strong understanding of financial concepts
  • High level of attention-to-detail
  • An ability to meet challenging deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication skills

Other Requirements

  • This position is based in Philadelphia with options for remote work
  • Ability to travel to Ethos operating states when necessary
  • Must pass stringent background test requirements
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Possess valid driver's license or state ID card; authorized to work in the S

Compensation

  • This position offers annual salary compensation with additional incentive compensation based on performance.
  • This position is classified as Exempt and is not entitled to overtime
