Currently, we are accepting applications for our Head Start Newport, Oregon location :
Head Start provides free preschool education to children ages three to five years old in a nurturing learning environment that includes parents as important resources for their children's learning.
We focus on the "whole child" and include as part of our program the child's educational, health, family, and social needs.
Our Family Services Site Coordinator provides administrative support, staff coordination, competency in using Microsoft Office suite and related software, and professional communication skills.
You will be the first face that children and families see, the first person they hear when they call. You will also ensure that the site meets all safety requirements and runs smoothly so the teaching staff remain focused on the children.

Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent, Associate or Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in related field preferred, and a minimum one year of administrative experience with a high emphasis on computer and written / oral communication skills;
or any equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Bilingual English / Spanish and previous Head Start experience highly preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license, Food Handlers certification, First Aid and CPR certification, health verification form and enrollment in Oregon Child Care Division Criminal History Registry* .
Note about Oregon Child Care Division Criminal History Registry - If you are interested in a position with Head Start, now or in the future, you are strongly encouraged to visit , and start the free registry process now to avoid delays in the hiring process.
Registry includes fingerprinting and a background check that may take weeks to complete, up to 8 weeks if you have lived out of state.
Head Start cannot allow you in the classroom until this process is complete so it is in your interest to start early.
