Community Resources Justice is Hiring a Program Supervisor Near Buffalo, NY

Overview

Responsibilities

The Program Supervisor is responsible for maintaining compliance on assigned shifts for program daily schedule, staff schedule, program agency policies and procedures and standards, behavior management, crisis management, documentation and staff supervision.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and evaluate employees conduct weekly supervision meetings, provide documentation of required meetings and produce performance appraisals.
  • Maintain order on assigned shifts, including enforcement of program rules and regulations, limit setting and use of behavior management system (level system, behavioral interventions, consequences, positive reinforcement, crisis prevention, management and non-violent crisis interventions, etc.).
  • Oversee and ensure all required program documentation and communication, including daily log, advocacy reports, weekly reports, telephone logs, medication logs, visitor logs, incident reports and verbal or written daily reports to the oncoming shift of previous shift happenings.
  • Provide crisis management and leadership in the event that a crisis in the program may arise.
  • Monitor and document the administration of residents’ medication.
  • Conduct advocacy and aid in mobilizing resources in support of clients.
  • Communicate with /DYS caseworkers and other related agencies regarding status of clients.
  • Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings, scheduled treatment teams and scheduled supervision.
  • Provide orientation and ongoing training to youth workers on assigned shifts.
  • Maintain DYS, Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and CRJ regulatory standards.
  • Attend all required training designated by Program Director, Assistant Director and/or CRJ.
  • Develop and maintain community, governmental and other public/private relationships.
  • Other job-related duties and activities as requested or directed.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of “reality therapy” and “milieu therapy” or other human service intervention strategies 
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of resources available to youth in the Greater Boston area with current certification in First Aid and Cardiopulminary Resucitation (CPR)
  • Experience in Crisis Intervention and Prevention management (CPI)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, good communicator and able to organize and be proactive, maintain order and follow through with required responsibilities while maintaining client confidentiality and respect for clients and co-workers at all times
  • Good interpersonal skills with effective time management skills
  • Valid Massachusetts Drivers License.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • B.A. or B.S. in related field with a minimum of one year experience or youth work or two years of related work experience
  • Minimum of one year counseling direct client service and/or resource development in youth services or other human service delivery agency
