This is a full time (0.8 -1.0 Status) day shift Accounts Payable Specialist position in Fiscal Services department.

Perform accounting and clerical tasks for the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Acts in lead capacity and actively assists Controller in monitoring outstanding invoices, purchase orders and training of A/P support staff.

Minimum Requirements: One to two (1 to 2) years of accounts payable experience required, including experience with a computerized accounts payable system. Understanding of accounts payable processes, policies, files, and internal controls in a high-volume accounts payable environment. Knowledge of IRS 1099 reporting regulations. Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to remain flexible when encountering tight time schedules. Good problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to research, analyze and reconcile financial data. Computer skills, including basic spreadsheets and data entry. 

Preferred/Desired: Associates degree in accounting and three (3) to (5) years of accounts payable experience preferred.
