POSITION PURPOSE: 
The Coordinator of Comprehensive Services provides total management of the clinical functions CST staff, Adult CST staff and Behavioral Health Consultants. He/she oversees and coordinates care issues within Behavioral Health Services. He/she is responsible for providing effective leadership to the clinical staff, has knowledge of the organization and function of Behavioral Health Services and coordinates service activities in accordance with standards of State, Federal and Professional Regulations. Responsible for United States Probation Office Treatment Services.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master’s Degree in social Work (MSW). Minimum of five (5) years experience in the Behavioral Health care field. Two (2) years of management and/or supervisory experience is preferred. Experience with treating clients with co-occurring disorders is preferred.

Licensure / Certification:
Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). in the state of Florida. Certified in Addiction preferred. Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Skills / Ability:
Demonstrates expertise in staff supervision, evaluation, staff development and training and knowledge regarding State Federal Professional Regulations. Demonstrates proficiency in the field of Behavioral Health Care. Experience in Children/ Adult Mental Health/ Substance Abuse education and Quality Assurance. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (THIS IS A EXEMPT POSITION)
Provides care primarily for the following groups: X Infant X Pediatric X Adolescence X Adult X Geriatric
Provides administrative, clinical and programmatic supervision of staff assigned to his/her areas of responsibility: CST staff, Adult CST and Behavioral Health consultants including ongoing performance evaluation of staff.
Provides staff with age-specific treatment modalities and supervision in working with patients and families.
Participates in program planning, policy making and decision making for service area/s and department communicates the information to unit staff when applicable.
Participates in decision to hire, discipline and terminate staff in assigned service area.
Ensures that Policies and Procedures are followed in assigned service areas.
Provides professional counseling and therapeutic intervention to patient and/or families as needed, as well as involvement with complex and/or potentially problematic cases in service areas.
Works collaboratively with community resources specific to population served (i.e., age, diagnosis, ethnicity, religion, etc.) to coordinate, develop and implement new programs and to improve existing programs.
Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary staff to design and implement appropriate treatment plans including discharge planning.
Develops leads and co-leads groups as needed.
Supports and maintains existing standards of Behavioral Health/CHI and professional standards.
Analyzes and submits statistical reports on a monthly basis and/or as requested.
Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of continuous improvement opportunities.
Ensures development and implementation of organization-wide and age-specific competencies within respective service areas in the following areas: fire and safety, security and infection control standards, behavioral and telephone standards of conduct.
Participates in orientation and training of staff.
Maintains direct patient care responsibility.
Chairs at least one Behavioral Health Committee when requested.
Maintains awareness of project strengths and weaknesses.
Ensures that the service area maintains practice standards in all areas.
Brings complex and/or potentially problematic situations to the attention of the supervisor.
Prepares and submits written monthly PI reports to the BHCC PIC and makes verbal reports to BHCC’s monthly and quarterly meetings.
Allocates adequate resources, commensurate with authority, to access and improve services provided.
Communicates the organization’s mission, vision and values to all staff.
Ensures staff’s participation in required education program and appropriate orientation and training courses to maintain competency in job skills, knowledge and equipment.
Provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, and continuously monitoring and evaluating the quality of services provided.
Ensures that employees respect the rights, privacy and property of others at all times, including the confidentiality of information according to administrative policies and all applicable and regulatory guidelines.
Completes mandatory in-service training.
Coordinates and ensures that staff assigned to respective service areas completes mandatory in-service training in a timely manner.
Provides coverage in the absence of peers.
Provides coverage in the absence of the Vice President for Behavioral Health, as assigned.
Participates in Behavioral Health Services continuing education program.
Assists the Vice President for Behavioral Health Services in the allocation of staff to assigned area/s in order to ensure effective utilization of resources.
Reviews and assesses program results (qualitatively/quantitatively) of performance of staff in relation to established project goals in conjunction with Behavioral Health Services Performance Improvement Council action as directed.
Establishes a mechanism for appropriate in-service training and management of communication.
Assures efficient two-way communication with staff.
Keeps abreast of changes in Behavioral Health Care Laws and community resources to assess the impact on the Center and advise the Director of such changes.
Assist in organizing department for implementation of programs by recommending functional structure of services and duties of various support positions.
Maintains effective interagency and professional organization relationship which may involve serving on community committees.
Functions as liaison with Vice President and staff for purposes of program development, coordination, interdisciplinary program resolution and identification of Behavioral Health Services trends and needs of clients.
Ensures monthly congruence between productivity and service area/s fiscal status.
Reviews with supervisor in supervision.
Completes performance evaluations and other assignments in a timely manner.
Provides supervision for field instruction (students of varied professional disciplines).
Participates in interview and program planning for incoming interns.
Seeks grant opportunities and participates in grant writing and research projects as required for program development, planning and evaluation.
Participates in program planning, policy making and decision making for service areas and department communicates the information to unit staff when applicable.
Ensures that assigned staff completes required documentation and bills for services within the same day of intervention.
Provides accurate and timely documentation in patients charts within the same day of intervention.
Reports to work on time and is ready to work with minimal absenteeism.
Adheres to Confidentiality Policies and Procedures / HIPAA Regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
