PAY RATE: $45,000/Annually (Flat Rate)

Founded in 1991, Amigos For Kids is a Miami-based nonprofit dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect by valuing children, strengthening families, and educating communities. Amigos For Kids moves its mission forward through its education, awareness, and advocacy programs aimed at helping families in under-resourced communities thrive.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Youth Services, the Youth Services Site Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day supervision and oversight of program at assigned site (s).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
- Serves as primary point of contact for parents and families.
- Serves as custodian of all program records for assigned program site (s).
- Provides direct supervision of instructional staff.
- Oversees registration of new program participants.
- Maintains accurate and timely attendance records for all program participants.
- Inputs program data and ensures program data is accurate (Casebook and Trust Central).
- Oversees student arrival and dismissal process and ensures program participants are signed out by a parent or authorized adult.
- Co-facilitates student assessments with Lead Counselor.
- Performs informal quality control classroom observations to ensure proper classroom management.
- Ensures compliance with all health and safety protocols.
- Documents all accidents, injuries, incidents, complaints, and problems.
- Communicates concerns or incidents to immediate supervisor.
- Serves as backup counselor when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have an associate degree in education or related field and have at least 2 years of experience working with children in a group setting. Additional years of experience and/or relevant certifications may substitute for the degree requirement.
Must:
- Agree to a fingerprinting and a Level 2 background check
- Submit to random drug testing as determined by Amigos For Kids personnel policies and procedures
- Agree to attend staff development and training
- Sign an Affidavit of Good Moral Character
- Have NEVER been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor related to abuse, neglect, exploitation, or other barrier crimes as listed on the Sworn Disclosure Statement of the Criminal Record Check
- Provide references as requested
Light physical activity as related to activities described. Easy mobility to work with children in a variety of environments. Lifting not exceeding 50 lbs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, sit, crouch, bend, speak, and hear.
- Ability to engage in physical activity with members without limitation.
- Ability to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects between 10 and 20 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position requires a person who can work with many distractions, interruptions and still accomplish their objectives and meet established deadlines
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Flexible work hours required consistent with afterschool time programming
