Community Health Development Partners is Hiring a Paralegal Near Omaha, NE

The paralegal will provide legal support to the attorneys and staff of Community Health Development Partners (CHDP). The paralegal will assist with real estate closings, construction pay application process for construction on ongoing CHDP projects and will assist with general compliance activities related to CHDP's projects and portfolio companies.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review legal documents related to real estate transactions, such as contracts, deeds, mortgages, title commitments, closing statements, and affidavits.
  • Coordinate with title companies, lenders, borrowers, and other parties involved in the closings.
  • Organize and maintain closing files and records.
  • Monitor and track the progress of construction projects and ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the loan agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and process construction pay applications, invoices, lien waivers, and other documents related to the disbursement of funds.
  • Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders regarding the status and issues of the projects.
  • Perform legal research and analysis on various topics related to real estate and construction law.
  • Assist with other legal tasks and projects as assigned by the attorneys and staff of CHDP.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or certificate in paralegal studies from an accredited program.
  • At least two years of experience as a paralegal in real estate and/or construction law.
  • Knowledge of real estate and construction terminology, documents, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other software applications used in the legal field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of CHDP.
Starting at $50,000 based on experience.
