Community Healthcare System is hiring Patient Accounting Medicaid Supervisor!

Full-time with benefits, M-F 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Job Description:

Reporting to the Patient Accounting Manager position, supervises the Medicaid Unit personnel to ensure the timely and accurate billing and follow up of accounts for Medicaid and Medicaid out of state payors. Maintains a thorough knowledge of Medicaid regulations that affect billing and collection and maintain a thorough understanding of Medicaid Managed plans. Maintains best practice standards and workflows for unit. Monitor productivity and quality of work goals. Create financial reports relating to AR and identify aging and payor issues. Monitors, reports, and works toward resolution or reduction of denials by payor. Coordinates and handles all Medicaid Audits. Works with other departments as necessary to resolve AR issues or delays. Develops and implements new or revised procedures for all areas of responsibility to achieve department goals. Ensures adherence to Hospital approved policies, procedures and guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, business, finance or accounting required.
  • 2-5 years staff experience in a patient financial services department.
  • Supervisory or Team Lead experience required.
  • Thorough knowledge of the billing and collection process and laws concerning billing activities.
  • Intermediate to Advanced level of proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and other department software applications understanding relationships and workflows.
  • Demonstrated oral, written, presentation and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities while communicating with staff and management in a collaborative team environment with a positive attitude.
  • Decisive, flexible problem solver with a results-oriented approach who has the ability to proactively identify issues and apply practical solutions while working in collaboration with management.
  • Epic proficiency or certifications preferred or must obtain within 1 year of employment
