POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Exercise Program Manager, is responsible for all aspects of the group exercise facilities, including hiring, supervising, and scheduling the Group Exercise and Specialty Group Exercise Staff. Responsible for developing and coordinating the group exercise/specialty programs as well as staff continuing education efforts and maintaining detailed records such as program attendance, equipment needs/inventories, and staff certifications/competencies. Compile, review, and make adjustments/additions/deletions to fitness programs based on member’s needs and/or industry trends. Assists Exercise Program Manager as needed.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

At least six (6) months of demonstrated success within the health/fitness industry. BA/BS in fitness related field preferred. ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, or equivalent certification required within 6 months of hire. At least three years experience as a fitness professional in the group fitness field required. CPR/AED certification required.
