Description

STATEMENT OF EXPECTATIONS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide remarkable service to our clients every day to include following the defined Service Standards as determined by the Bank.
  • Provides clients information about bank products and services to ensure all their needs are addressed.
  • Maintain a high level of security for all our clients on each and every transaction by following bank established protocols each and every time.
  • Maintain an adequate cash drawer at all times; including buying and selling currency from the vault as necessary and maintaining a high level of security.
  • Conduct routine transactions within limits and established guidelines (cash checks, accept deposits and loan payments, process withdrawals).
  • Verifies cash and processes change orders.
  • Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance.
  • Process transactions such as night deposits and mail deposits.
  • Process Health Savings Transactions.
  • Order and process foreign currency/drafts, and place travel notices.
  • Balance and submit batches throughout the day.
  • Balance cash drawer at end of shift, verify Deposit Review and conduct close of day after all batches have been submitted.
  • To be able to proficiently process wire transfer requests after completing appropriate training.
  • Provide additional products including Cashier’s Checks, Personal Money Orders and exchanging foreign currency.
  • Provides routine information concerning bank services and products to include account information and copies of statements; or directs client to appropriate department for specific information.
  • Assist clients in accessing safety deposit boxes.
  • Accepts stop payment on checks and address change requests.
  • Document scanning and reviewing.
  • Proficiently answer client phone inquiries.
  • Proficiently answers the more complex client inquiries including loan payoffs.
  • May perform vault duties such as ordering/shipping currency and coin and conducting buy/sell transactions with other CSS’s.
  • Ability to assist with training as needed.
  • Close debit cards and accounts.
  • Replenish and balance ATM cash and process ATM deposits.
  • Proficient at Branch Certifications as determined by the Company.
  • Proficient at all tasks associated with a CSS2 as determined by the Company (provided separately).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent customer service skills, attentiveness, information retention, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with both clients and co-workers.
  • Strong Mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy.
  • Competence with computers, telephone, 10-key calculator, and other office machinery.

Physical:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to: sit; use hands in repetitive motions to finger, grasp, handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to: stand; walk; and lift or reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include good visual acuity to read print and computer screens.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of prior experience in financial institution performing Teller activities.
  • Successful completion of in-house training program or other approved training program.
