Security Service Technician Position Description:

Service of equipment including but not limited to access control, intrusion, and detection systems, video surveillance, mass notification, distributed annotation systems (DAS), Structured Cable, Paging, and CATV. The candidate should have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to change as the position requires troubleshooting and repairing product lines. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a positive and team-oriented attitude.

Critical Skills and Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints and other documentation needed to execute the project on time and under budget.
• Able to adapt to changes in the scope of work, work hours, project size, and travel.
• Wire access control enclosers.
• Trim doors with reader, lock, rex, and DPS.
• Aim, focus, and set up cameras.
• Routing and termination of cables
• Milestone, S2, and Genetec trained or certified within 6 months.
• Familiar with Axis

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Technical domain knowledge sufficient to perform responsibilities
• 2 years of experience in the field or equivalent
• Milestone or Genetec trained or certified is a plus
• Familiar with Axis or Hanwha cameras
• Ability to thrive in a faced pace environment and juggle multiple projects
• Strategic thinker, superior communicator, and confident decision-maker
• Willingness to travel when needed.
• Complete paperwork essential to working on service orders.
• Checking in/out with dispatch for each job site
• Location planning – knowing what job is next.
• Work with inside and outside customers and resolve problems.
• Coordinate with dispatch and maintain open communication with both co-workers and dispatch.

Performance Measurements:

• Adherence to Timesheet and expense report policies
• Minimum customer satisfaction rating to be determined
• Installation quality
