Commonwealth Senior Living is Hiring an Activities Assistant Near Charlottesville, VA

Overview:

The Activities Assistant supports the Program Director in leading and executing the Activity program for the community. The Activity Assistant carries out a specific

set of tasks to fulfill the standards of the Activity program. The Activity Assistant works closely with the Program Director.

Position: Full-Time position, Monday-Friday, evenings, including weekends and holidays.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Assists the Resident Program team with planning, developing, and preparing a variety ofexercises, social, recreational, and educational events.
  • Conducts all transportation as well as medical transportation for residents.
  • Maintains knowledge of communities, services, and events in the area and incorporatesinto activity schedule as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills and general healthcare knowledge.
  • Experience in a senior living environment strongly preferred but not required.
  • Must have a clear and insurable driving record, current driver’s license and willingness to drive a passenger van.
