Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is Hiring an Aging Care Manager 2 (Local Government) - Beaver County Area Agency on Aging (Multiple Vacancies) Near Beaver, PA

Within this role, your focus will be advocating, protecting, supporting, providing information, evaluating and securing essential services for eligible older adults in Beaver County. You will have the opportunity to learn, develop, and maintain knowledge of the Agency’s programs and other service referral programs. Work includes the development and follow-up of service plans for consumers. Communication is key in this position, along with problem solving, organizational skills and computer proficiency.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Work hours may vary, weekends and non-business hours. 
  • On call rotation for Older Adult Protective Services.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as an Aging Care Manager 1 or a County Caseworker 1; or
  • Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or
  • Six months of professional human services or nursing experience; and a bachelor's degree in social sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training. 

Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Beaver County. If no eligible candidates who live within Beaver County apply for this position, candidates who reside in Allegheny, Lawrence, Butler or Mercer Counties may be considered. 
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: 

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
