Job Summary:

We are seeking a Medical Assistant or LPN at our Midlothian Office. This candidate must be a team player with a strong work ethic who thrives in a fast paced surgical environment. They will work closely with physicians to provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years experience working in a medical office setting and have a strong background in medical terminology. Must be reliable and punctual & present with an impeccable personal appearance.

Duties:

- Prepares sterile surgical trays and assists physicians with minor surgical procedures

- Collects and enters patient history in our EMR system

- Answers patient phone calls (test results, scheduling in office procedures, etc)

- Obtains authorization for surgeries and in office procedures

- Provide medical administrative support as needed

- Ensures compliance with infection control protocols and maintains a clean and organized work environment

- Educates patients regarding postoperative instructions and provide resources for further information

- Experience with cosmetic services including surgeries, injectables and aesthetics a plus

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting

- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of human anatomy and physiology

- Familiar with electronic health record systems

- Background in minor surgical procedures and sterile tray setup

Skills:

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages

- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
