Dental Sleep Medicine Technician/Scribe POSITION

Accompany providers during patient visits to assist in documenting the provider assessment and exam.

Duties:

• Assists the physician during clinic visits by entering an accurate, complete record of the patient encounter into the EMR. This includes the patient’s medical history, vitals, complaint, symptoms, physical exam, physician’s assessment and treatment plan, post-visit documentation, and follow-up instructions. Entry is reviewed and approved by the provider.
• Complete X-ray and request radiology report; scanning of patient’s dentition and bite registration; and request/order the fabrication of dental device (place RX in Manufacturer Portal).
• Communications with manufacturing for all cases; monitor and track issues that arise
• Under the provider’s supervision, submits referrals to other medical specialists, and enters imaging orders to facilitate the provider’s treatment plan for the patient.
• Enhances clinic efficiency by escorting patients to exam rooms; obtaining and recording vitals(height, weight, BP, pulse, O2 & neck size), and at the conclusion of the clinic visit; the cleaning and restocking of exam rooms between patients to maintain a clean, productive work environment.
• Open and inspect all incoming cases from the laboratory; making sure cases are updated on the appliance schedule and lab slips are matched with invoices.
• Assist with lab duties as well as keeping the lab clean and organized; paying attention to low inventory if it needs to be ordered.
• Continuation of results of Clinical Data updated in Google Documents for ongoing records of sleep studies and efficacy sleep studies.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
