Position Summary: The Apprentice Electrician 3 will advance their expertise within the trade as they continue to build upon the skills they’ve acquired during previous years of their apprenticeship. This role will enhance a deeper understanding of proficiency and theory in various aspects of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair. Apprentice Electrician 3s will continue working closely with experienced journeymen and foreman-level electricians while assuming additional responsibilities in the field to gain confidence in completing tasks within commercial and industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Execute most rough-in installations with minimal supervision.
• Accurately identify and organize all materials used in the electrical trade.
• Execute underground installations, adhering to provided specifications.
• Assist in panel installations.
• Ability to pull feeders within one-line systems.
• Assist with branch power system installations including terminations, branch circuit pulling, and fuse rejection clip applications.
• Support journeyman electricians with a variety of tasks.
• Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe workspace
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrated ability to execute more complex tasks.
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to lift 50lbs and climb up and down a ladder safely.
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Proficiency in underground and rough-in installations.
• Demonstrate proper use of tools and equipment.
• Demonstrate advanced hand-bending EMT skills.
• Ability to identify basic symbols, layout, and scale on blueprints.
• Ability to work from various heights via ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other safe work platforms.
• Committed to a minimum of 40-hour work weeks.
• Ability to work in and around restricted/ confined spaces.

Education and Experience:
• Completion of two years in a registered apprenticeship program or similar education.
