Comfort Suites is seeking candidates for our team of Guest Service Agents. Our hotel has a culture of “always on” guest service – our goal is for our guests to feel as welcome and comfortable as they would in their own home. We are looking for candidates who have a contagious smile and a positive attitude; who are reliable, flexible, detail-oriented, accountable, and have a strong work ethic. You must be passionate about guest satisfaction and take pride in your accomplishments to be a successful member of our team.
As a member of our team, you will be not only the first impression of our hotel, but the last impression as well. You must be able to interact with new people on a daily basis, as well as operate within what, at times, can be an extremely fast-paced environment. It is important that you can multi-task and maintain professional composure during busy times. You will be an integral part of every contact with the guest from the first telephone call to ensuring their stay was satisfactory during their departure.
This is a part-time position, must be available for all shifts. Hours may vary between 7am-3-m, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am. We keep the schedule fairly consistent; however, the ideal candidate would be available for all days and shifts for purposes of training or filling in for another team member. Schedule may include weekends and holidays, as we are open 365 days a year. Schedule may include more than one shift, e.g. two afternoon shifts and three night shifts.
As part of this job, this individual is required to demonstrate good computer skills,
accurately handle cash and charges; and present a friendly, outgoing, energetic, professional, and guest-service-oriented demeanor.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Checks guests in/out
* Gives directions to hotel, local areas, recommends restaurants and places of interest
* Takes telephone reservations with accuracy
* Greets and welcomes guests
* Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.
* Addresses and resolves guest issues in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
* Processes guest check-outs and handles monetary transactions.
* Maintains guests' privacy
* Maintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanor
* Can stand for long periods of time
* Provides every guest with a personal, exceptional experience
* Upholds hotel policies and procedures
* Has the ability to multitask
* Performs other duties as required – this could include tasks such as preparing, maintaining, and taking down breakfast, folding and putting away guest room linens, light cleaning of lobby area, and removal of trash from common areas
* Candidate should be able to pass a background check and drug screening
