Combined Metals of Chicago LLC is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative

Job Description:

  • Represent Combined Metals in a positive and professional manner.
  • Identify areas of improvement in the company and assist in creating and implementing solutions.
  • Arrive to work and meetings on time and prepared.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean and organized manner.
  • Work with all personnel and Regional Sales Manager(s) to satisfy and achieve company goals.
  • Adhere to any Procedures & Work Instructions that include Sales.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Sales Manager.
  • Respond to customer requests within 24 hours
  • Receive and review customer request for quotations to determine feasibility.
  • Ensure sufficient information is obtained to be able to quote per the Work Instructions.
  • Quotations are to be made in a timely manner, typically within 24-48 hours of receiving the quotation, if it is a standard product; for bars, shape and other types of quotes within 3 to 7 days after receipt of inquiry.
  • Work with customer to resolve any discrepancies during the quoting process.
  • It may be necessary to phone the customer during the quoting stage to make sure we have understood their requirements before providing a quotation.
  • Develop quotations in cooperation with the Regional Sales Manager(s) or Sales Manager based on identified sales strategy and information collected from customer.
  • Receive and review customer purchase order against quotation and resolve any discrepancies with the customer.
  • If necessary, call customer to review receipt of our order acknowledgement and contract dates are correct.
  • Work with customers who have portals for their orders.
  • Enter customer orders into Power-Term per the Work Instructions and acknowledge to the customer within 24-48 hours
