Job Summary
Columbus State University has a full-time Program Coordinator position. This role will primarily support Empowered Youth of CSU. EYCSU is an after-school program founded to enrich the lives of K12 students at Title I schools through academics and hands-on enrichment. Our mission is to provide quality academic and enrichment programming in a safe, caring environment to youth in our community.
This position reports to the Program Manager of Continuing and Professional Education. The successful candidate will work closely with the CPE Program Manager to coordinate the EYC program. The selected candidate must engage well with children and families and demonstrate a responsibility for the well-being of children. This position requires flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities inlcude but are not limited to:
  • Providing operational support and administration for a dynamic program that serves approximately 300 K12 students in the Chattahoochee Valley area.
  • With stakeholders and leadership staff, planning long and short-term goals, to include grant applications and program expansion.
  • Providing administrative and staffing coordination to all EYC sites.
  • Communicating with parents as needed regarding student recruitment, retention, and disciplinary actions.
  • Planning and coordinating parent engagement and student enrichment events.
  • Collaborating with CPE Program Manager on the selection, hiring, training, and evaluation of staff.
  • Coordinating the scheduling of staff, volunteers, and guest speakers along with educational field trips.
  • Coordinating monthly staff meetings and professional development activities.
  • Ensuring each site provides and maintains lesson plans, accurate student rosters, and attendance reports.
  • Monitoring and supporting the programmatic operations to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Providing constructive feedback to leadership and staff with regard to program delivery and performance.
  • Assisting Program Manager and seeking guidance when handling crisis situations.
  • Awareness of all applicable policies and procedures: CSU, school districts, AL/GA Department of Education, etc.
  • Coordinating all data collection and input including daily attendance, grades, test scores, and parent/teacher/staff/student surveys.
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree; or a Bachelor's degree with 1- 2 years' experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proposed Salary
The salary range for this position is $43,842 - $48,198.
