Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Pre-Professional Advising/Academic Support Initiatives, the Associate Director is responsible for managing the Peer Academic Skills Consultant Program and the Tutoring Program, as well as the development, implementation, and coordination of other academic support initiatives and programming. The Associate Director liaises with advising deans, faculty, and other constituencies regarding academic support for individual students. The Associate Director works directly with the staff of the Academic Success Programs (ASP) to meet the tutoring needs of students in the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) and the National Opportunity Program (NOP).
THIS IS A PARTIALLY GRANT-FUNDED POSITION. CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTINUED SUFFICIENT FUNDING.
Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent required.
Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Computer proficiency required. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
The candidate should also possess both creativity and flexibility.
Professionalism in handling a wide range of tasks, and attention to detail is essential.
Capacity to work independently on multiple projects and to prioritize appropriately is essential.
