Located in Walla Walla on a serene 38-acres of estate vineyards, lavender fields and gardens, Abeja is a celebrated winery and distinctive Inn that creates a magical countryside oasis. Visitors will experience exclusive world-class Washington state wines, all crafted with care from the land, while staying in guest cottages that each share a different story about the rich history of the turn-of-the-century farmstead. The Abeja experience is created by people who are devoted to a continued pursuit of what they do best and an endless drive to do even better for wine enthusiasts and guests of The Inn.

What you’ll do:
The Requirements
  • Provide exceptional experiences, with first-class service, to guests and members.
  • Conduct on-site tastings, including preparation and cleanup for appointments.
  • Communicate with precision, clarity and hospitality through personal interactions and correspondence by phone and email, to cultivate lasting relationships.
  • Effectively convey the wines, story, history, membership and product knowledge with confidence, passion, and enthusiasm.
  • Approach challenges with courtesy, professionalism, and poise; able to prioritize and proactively follow through to a mutual resolution.
  • Collaborate with planning, setup and cleanup of on-site tastings and special events.
  • Handle transactions and reservations with accuracy, efficiency, and fluidity.
  • Assist with Will Call wine order pack-up, preparation and wine shipping.
  • Answer phones and monitor email inbox and voicemails throughout the day, responding to guest inquiries.
  • Inventory & stock tasting room wine and merchandise.
  • Assist with outbound phone calls.
  • Assist with special events (Spring Release, Summer Release, Fall Celebration, other events as needed).
  • Additional duties as assigned.
The Nitty Gritty
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability.
  • Experience with a luxury wine brand is preferred.
  • Knowledge of wine & wine production is preferred.
  • WSET or Guild Somm certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent math skills with consistent accuracy.
  • Strong ability to work with sales register/POS system.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to adhere to company workplace guidelines including dress code & safety protocols.
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
