Columbia Crossings, the region’s largest marina operator, is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee seven fulltime employees. This new role, reporting directly to our Director of Operations, is responsible for ensuring our facilities are maintained a high standard. He or she will implement processes and protocols that maintenance employees should regularly perform, including preventative maintenance.

The Maintenance Director must be highly organized and possess solid maintenance and construction acumen/skills. Basic proficiency in plumbing, electrical, carpentry etc. is important. Prior supervisory experience and some familiarity with human resources and other administrative/managerial skills is desirable but not required.

In addition, attention to customers’ needs and responsiveness to maintenance requests is important. Finally, an ability to plan, budget, and implement larger maintenance projects and lead a team is essential.

The position is integral to our plan of re-making our marinas and on-land properties as first class facilities. We will ensure adequate staffing and properly organize our maintenance professionals to deliver this vision.

The compensation package will be competitive and vary depending on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, the package will include substantial variable components (e.g. performance bonus). Given the importance of this role, substantial salary uplift is anticipated upon successful implementation of a robust and cost-effective maintenance program.
