Colorado Public Radio is Hiring a Membership Communications Specialist Near Englewood, CO

Colorado Public Radio (CPR) is seeking a Member Communications Specialist.

About the Position:

The Member Communications Specialist supports CPR donor retention, growth and prospect outreach by organizing, scheduling and executing logistics for all fundraising and engagement communications for Colorado Public Radio services - CPR News, CPR Classical, Indie 102.3, Denverite and KRCC. You will review all mail, email, web, phone, text, metadata and broadcast communications scheduled for a given week to ensure that all elements in those communications are complete, quality checked and delivered according to established timelines and requirements. Additionally, you will document planning materials, archive mail, email and other communications and organize assets needed for future engagement and fundraising initiatives.

This is not a remote position. The Member Communications Specialist is expected to reside in the Denver Metro area upon starting.

About You:

You’re a planner who regularly thinks ahead to ensure everything is accounted for. You believe that organization and planning reduces confusion, errors and missed opportunities. You are proud of your ability to create consistent, stable systems that help others accomplish their goals. You’re curious - you like to observe, listen, learn, and synthesize information that will help your colleagues do their best work. You have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively advocate for an organization’s mission. Attention to detail in communications is something that especially excites you - how little shifts in the delivery of a message allow donors, members, clients or customers to connect in a heartfelt way with an organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with donor, member, client or customer communications. This experience should include:
  • Experience reviewing and providing quality control for outbound communications to donors, members, clients, prospects or customers
  • Experience managing multichannel communications and their timelines
  • Experience working with email marketing platforms
  • Experience working with project management software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to adapt communication to various voices or audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills, particularly working across teams to partner closely with colleagues, stakeholders and vendors.
  • An ability to organize and effectively guide projects focused on deadlines that involve multiple stakeholders.

Education Equivalency:

  • High School or GED degree required. Relevant Associates or Bachelors degree may replace some of the years of experience required.

Don't meet every single requirement? Research has shown that women, people of color and many marginalized communities are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Colorado Public Radio, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, equitable and authentic workplace. If you're excited about this role, but your past experience doesn't perfectly align with every qualification in the job posting, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles with us.

Benefits:

Colorado Public Radio is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package that reflects our culture of caring. Our employees have access to: 100 percent employer paid individual health, dental, life, and disability coverage; an outstanding paid family medical leave policy plus paid holidays and a very generous sick, vacation, and personal time off plan; voluntary offerings such as vision; a retirement plan with no waiting or vesting periods; flexible schedules; engagement and development opportunities; and a casual atmosphere.
