Colorado Premium is Hiring a Human Resources Supervisor-Bilingual English/Spanish preferred 62k-68k Near Greeley, CO

Summary: This position supports their assigned location in a full human resource generalist capacity by managing talent recruitment and selection, employee relations, PO administration, training, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and rewards & recognition. As a member of the facility’s Management Team, they support the operating strategy and assist in aligning it with the PO strategy through tactical and strategic collaboration with the General Manager. Collaborates with other business partners to create a functional understanding of PO program, the roll out of new programs and initiatives, and to collect input for PO program improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 25% - Records & PAYCOM Integrity: Responsible for all human capital and payroll data being input into the PAYCOM system. Maintains records, audits, and reports departures from prescribed application of guidelines, policies and procedures. Ensures performance metrics are applied fairly and evenly. Consistently uses a structured strategy to deliver meaningful and measurable leadership in support of building an effective team.
  • 25% - Employee Relations: Fosters proactive Employee Relations (ER) to minimize or avoid mismanagement/poor PO practices. Promptly responds and documents Employee Relations issues, while devoting time to value-added PO activities. Openly challenges inappropriate actions promptly. Fosters confidence in PO as a leader who advocates the fair treatment of Employees but focuses on good business practices that support our strategy Identifies, redeems, or manages out marginal performers. Ensures ER issues are properly investigated, documented and/or resolved.
  • 20% - Talent Selection: Provides subject matter leadership by having a working knowledge of the processes necessary to anticipate the demands of the facility’s workforce. Proactively supports the daily operation of the facility by ensuring that the current workforce is properly sources, selected and appropriately oriented at levels that minimize payroll cost, but meet operational needs. Properly document promotions ensuring the process selects the best candidate. Ensures consistent staffing and payroll targets are met.
  • 20% - Foreword Facing: Establishes an Operational presence and maintains engagement by regularly seeking feedback from General Manager, and others, through daily dialogue. Proactively supports performance, operating strategy, and the daily operation of the production facility, and has a regular presence on the floor. Meets the challenges of communicating with employees at all levels to establish PO as a trusted and approachable resource who is actively engaged in the daily operation of the facility. Challenges staffing assumptions to ensure that the current workforce is fully utilized, fiscally responsible and cross-trained. Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and analyzes situations thoroughly before acting.

  • 10% - Workforce Planning: Drives new programs and approaches, not only positive programs, but also difficult issues such as layoffs, job eliminations, and identifying and managing marginal performers to resolution. Leads the management of change facing the facility (i.e. workforce variables, AR issues, technology, operational expectations, etc.). Constantly scans the horizon for changes to the status quo and fashions a response. Is knowledgeable on their competitive landscape.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in People Operations, Management or Political Science, or equivalent relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) required, PAYCOM preferred.
  • Business knowledge as it relates to employment laws in current state, and good recruiting and employee relations skills.
  • Ability to solve a wide range of complex, multi-disciplinary problems that must consider short and intermediate term company-wide planning.
  • Ability to compose sensitive, routine correspondence requiring tact and diplomacy and/or reports or summaries in a confidential manner.
  • Ability to deliver presentations regarding potentially controversial issues, which involve negotiation, sensitivity and that influence positive outcomes among groups of varying positions.

Subject to plan rules, this position is eligible to participate in our health, prescription, dental vision, disability, accidental death & dismemberment, life insurance program, and 401(k) & Roth retirement savings plan with a company match. This position also participates in vacation and sick leave pay programs. The salary range for this position is $62.000 to $68,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. This position is bonus eligible, however, anyone who commences employment after the beginning of the bonus plan period is eligible for a prorated portion of any bonus deemed earned and payable if he or she is hired and active prior to 180 days before the bonus plan period ends.
