STATEMENT OF DUTIES

General Statement Of Duties:
This position is located in the Financial Services Division of the State Court Administrator’s office. It is the entry level position in the Financial Analyst series and is responsible for work related to financial programs and systems or the financial aspects of programs and systems.

Distinguishing Factors:
The Financial Analyst I position is distinguished from other classifications due to the concentration on first level analytical and administrative work that supports financial related programs or systems. The position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

The hiring range for this position is $5,576.00 - $6,691.00/ month.

This position is a part of the Statewide Collections Program, delivering guidance, support and training for the collections processes and staff in the districts. This program, offered by the Colorado Judicial Department, engages clients in financial accountability to facilitate change and stability. We are seeking applicants who are service-oriented, have an interest in training and public speaking, and have data analysis experience with a keen eye for details. Some travel is required, and the work location is downtown at 1300 Broadway, Denver, CO 80203.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Compiles and maintains data, statistics and other information to aid in program or system monitoring, evaluation, planning and improvement.
Prepares and generates reports, schedules, charts and graphs.
Assists in the monitoring and analysis of information and data with regard to program budgets, revenue, work volume, work methods, and performance.
May serve as the designated point of contact and coordinator of financial related processes within the department and/or in which the department’s systems overlap and integrate with other offices, agencies, or contractors.
Acts as a liaison to field staff; coordinates with other divisions, state agencies and various other persons and entities in the performance of duties and assignments.
Conducts research, as needed, to answer questions, provide information, and identify or resolve issues or discrepancies.
Prepares drafts of procedures, standards, forms and related documents or materials.
May develop, maintain, and conduct training and informational sessions or programs.
May assist in the review of local practices and performance relative to the areas assigned and provide recommendations, technical guidance and assistance.
Provides customer service in the areas assigned.
Attends meetings and training as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Occasional in-state travel required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS CONT.

Supervisor Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibility. Responsibility for one’s own work product and work within a unit performing similar functions. May provide assistance or explain work instructions to co-workers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, collections, auditing or other related field. Work experience in these or other closely related fields may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required formal education.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. This position is subject to varying and unpredictable situations; may handle emergency or crisis situations; is subject to many interruptions; may handle multiple calls and inquiries simultaneously; and may occasionally handle absentee replacement on short notice.
