What you will do: We are looking for a Claims Research Specialist who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the position will look like. Develops strong relationships with Medicaid, CHP and BH network providers through regular telephonic and written outreach.Manages the provider in-box and disseminates requests in an accurate and timely manner.Provides administrative and technical supports both internally and externally with all provider types in areas including, but not limited to provider portal supports, claims inquiries, State system supports and other internal departmental requests as it relates to provider information.Works with network providers to proactively resolve issues such as claim denial trends and access to care issues. Acts as liaison between providers and Colorado Access support services, initiatives, programs and other provider offerings.Resolves claims issues and questions. Documents provider contacts and identified issues according to department standards to facilitate outreach tracking and issue trending. What you will bring: Education: Bachelor’s degree in health administration, business administration or related. Any combination of education or experience may be substituted for education or experience. Experience: Two years’ experience in health care provider relations or provider contracting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge and understanding of the various medical coding and reimbursement platforms, including the Resource Based Relative Value System, Diagnostic Related Groups, Prospective Payment System, Ambulatory Payment Classifications, and Current Procedural Terminology required. Demonstrates support for the company’s mission, vision and values. Must have strong relationship building skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deal with multiple levels of staff and be a strong team player. Strong attention to detail with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic knowledge of managed care contracting, provider reimbursement and claims payment, medical terminology, and health care delivery systems required.Must be able to handle high volume workload. Must be proficient in MS-Office applications (Word, Excel, and Access). May be required to manage multiple priorities and projects with tight deadlines. Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance will be required for any position requiring driving. Pay, Perks and Benefits at Colorado Access: The compensation for this position is $60,000.00 to $75,600.00 annually. The pay rate/salary is commensurate with experience.
