Here is what the position will look like.Department Director Responsibilities: Provides strategic direction and oversees the management and maintenance of department deliverables striving for operational excellence (productivity, quality, SLAs, customer experience of services provided, etc.). Builds high performing teams with vision, leadership, goals and metrics. Serves as a role model for team members; takes action and inspires team members to embrace and implement culture initiatives. Provides awareness to staff how their work impacts other departments, programs and the enterprise. Encourages collaboration and holds team members accountable for achieving outstanding results. Responsible for all management functions including: hiring, training, planning and directing work, coaching and staff development, managing and evaluating performance, recognizing and rewarding employees; corrective action procedures and practices, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Develops and manages the department budget.Works closely with Directors across the organization to make tactical and operational decisions that advance company strategies and goals and collaborates to deliver on company-wide deliverables/requirements. Oversees/leads departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives; may lead cross functional teams. Develops and implements department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company policies, rules and regulations. Job Specific Responsibilities: Enhances organizational capability and efficacy by creating and implementing talent strategies and programs focusing on succession planning, career paths, leadership development, and high potential talent initiatives. Lead training program oversight, including vendor, system, and personnel management, aimed at enhancing leader effectiveness, employee engagement, and career advancement while fostering continuous improvement. Coach and develop team members, evaluate program effectiveness, and ROI. Collaborate with stakeholders to address organizational needs and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in training. Develop and communicate clear metrices and roadmaps. Collaborate with executives and directors to make strategic decisions advancing company goals and drive company-wide culture initiatives to advance organizational goals.Administer employee engagement efforts, develop targeted communications, and devise strategies to enhance overall engagement levels in collaboration with People Services and DEI teams. Foster a collaborative and supportive environment across departments to enhance team dynamics, trust, team building, and communication channels, promoting performance and effectiveness. Develop and support change leadership strategies for culture initiatives, applying change principles to execute company-wide events (staff events, manager meeting, etc.) and initiatives effectively. Collaborate with People Services and DEI teams to align organizational development initiatives with compensation, benefits, performance management, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Identify and connect senior leaders to training, conferences and experiences that assist in developing their leadership skills and position responsibilities. Keeps up to date on organizational effectiveness, training, culture and DEI industry trends, and organizational best practices. Maintain knowledge of new methods and techniques for Training and training requirements applicable to the organization and the industry. Develops and manages the department budget. Responsible for the annual learning and development budget and respective forecasting. Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief People & Talent Development Officer. What you will bring: Education: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s preferred in organizational development, organizational management or change management, or business communications related field required. A combination of education and experience may be substituted.Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience of Organizational Development/Change Management. At least seven years in people management or leadership development. Experience strategizing and developing company programs, curriculum design, while fostering an inclusive environment. Direct management and team development experience required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong working knowledge of organizational development and implementation of organizational wide initiatives. Demonstrates support for the company’s mission, vision and values. Strategic business planning, change management, data driven mindset, team leadership, and program design/evaluation skills required. Talent calibration, including talent review, assessment, and promotion processes. Succession planning, from front-line roles to executive level roles. Demonstrated consultative and business-partnering skills with the ability to effectively communicate and influence partners across all areas of the business and levels. Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to initiate and drive change and demonstrates results-driven approach. Strong organizational and time management skills with demonstrated process and project management expertise. Ability to build trusting and collaborative relationships. Must be a team player. Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). May be required to manage multiple priorities and projects with tight deadlines. Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance will be required for any position requiring driving.
