Job Summary:
Join the Colorado School of Public Health as a Bilingual Research Specialist. This participant-facing data collection position is a key member of the school’s Lifecourse Epidemiology of Adiposity and Diabetes (LEAD) Center and will handle duties supporting a new NIH-funded pre-birth cohort study. This Denver-based cohort is part of a national consortium “Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes” (ECHO) study, where the goal of the project is to recruit and longitudinally follow a cohort of 810 pregnant people, their conceiving partners, and their offspring.
This position will be responsible for the implementation of the ECHO research protocol as conducted by study investigators at the LEAD Center, which includes the collection and entry of data, questionnaires, physical measurements, and blood samples from study participants. The Research Specialist will be responsible for maintaining University-required training in ethics and best practices for human subjects research and will be familiar with and adhere to IRB-approved research protocol.

Onsite – This position is located on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO. Study visits will take place in participants’ homes as needed. Occasional evening and/or overnight travel will be required with advance notice.

The LEAD Center represents a collaboration between the Colorado School of Public Health and the Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine. The LEAD Center is a multidisciplinary research center that investigates and seeks to understand the developmental origins of health and disease, particularly obesity, type 1 and type 2 diabetes and the complex interplay of environmental exposures, genetic and epigenetic processes in critical developmental periods in across the lifecourse.

Anticipated Salary Range:
The starting target salary for this position has been established as:
Entry Level: $50,000 - $55,000 (1.0 FTE)
Intermediate Level: $54,000 - $64,000 (1.0 FTE)
The above salary represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
