The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will have responsibility for the execution of HR processes and activities to support the Enterprise Operations primarily focusing on Ops Strategy and Modernization. The HRBP will collaborate with the business as an advisor on topics including organizational effectiveness, change and talent management, employee development, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, and special projects. Additionally, through partnership with Ops leaders, strategic business unit (SBU) HR Partners, and HR COEs, this position will provide leadership and support in the execution of strategic HR initiatives such as succession planning, employee engagement, organizational health, talent acquisition, and talent development.

This position can be worked remotely in the U.S.

Preferred – Hybrid work to Windsor Locks, CT or Charlotte, NC.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive the DE&I roadmap and execute initiatives including college partnerships, diversity conferences, and reverse mentoring.

  • Implement Talent Development strategies including career mapping, succession planning, and leader development.

  • Manage culture initiatives including Pulse Surveys, Collins Path, Leadership Effectiveness Survey.

  • Coach leaders on multiple areas of HR, including compensation, performance management and planned moves.

  • Communicate and implement proactive strategies pertaining to leadership development, talent management, and diversity & inclusion in support of strategic objectives.

  • Special projects including support of business initiatives such as development of IT’s and macro plans, benchmarking across L&D, and execution of people related initiatives.

  • Drive the implementation of Ops talent strategies such as individual development plans, global talent, and onboarding.

  • Perform the following attributes below:

Analytical: Ability seek and make data based decisions and recommendations.

Project management: Strong project management skills like organization and time management will assist the HR business partner in effectively leading assigned project toward completion.

Problem-solving & Independent starter: HRBPs often must solve problems. In this role, you will have to be able to identify the problem and then come up with a solution to overcome it. As an HRBP, you will have to be able to initiate and complete tasks without prompting

Influential Leadership: As an HRBP, you need to meet the overall objectives of the company by influencing, working through, and motivating others to complete the tasks.

Collaboration: As an HRBP, you will have to work with and across various functions to reach your objectives. You will have to be able to collaborate with a diverse group of thought partners and various parts of the HR organization to complete tasks.

Change management & communications: As an HRBP, having the ability to coach leaders facilitate discussions around change and transformation is key.

  • Travel up to 15%

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position

  • Prior Human Resource and/or HR Business partner experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hybrid work to Windsor Locks, CT or Charlotte, NC is preferred. If outside these areas the position can be worked remote with travel

  • HRBP experience working in matrixed organization and global team

  • Experience in project management and continuous improvement

  • Experience coaching and developing leaders

  • Ability to build relationships and influence

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
